TRAVEL: Thailand, Chiang Mai

It’s our 4th day in Thailand and we arrived in Chiang Mai around 2.15PM. We left Sukothai around 9 o’clock and took a bus from the old city to chiang mai. This was 265 baht per person (app. 5 euro) and it took 5 hours. It was a long ride but we managed!

The hotel
During our last night in Sukothai, we booked a hotel for the night in Chiang Mai. After some reading on several blogs and tripadvisor, we decided to book a room for one night at Pat’s Klang Viang Guesthouse. It was around 1250 baht which is app. 15 euro per person, with the breakfast included. We’ve heard many good stories about Pat’s KlangViang. It’s located in the old citycenter of Chang Mai, within the city walls. Perfect location with a beautiful view on a temple from our balcony. The rooms are nice and comfortable and the hotel is well designed. Beautiful wooden furniture and a nice general place where you can chill out and read some books. We both enjoyed Pat’s Klang Viang alot!

The city itself
Since we arrived in Chiang Mai a bit late (14.15PM local time) we ran out of time. We walked around in the old city, took some pictures from beautiful temples and had a nice meal at a local bar. We liked Chiang Mai and the relaxed vibe, but we already leave tomorrow morning. We’re heading to Pai, and come back in two days for a little bit more of Chiang Mai, so stay tuned!
